Angela Holden, MSc Psych, Clinc Dip Psych, Dip Couns. UKCP, MBACP.
I am a professionally qualified counsellor and psychotherapist. I have an MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy (with a Dissertation Distinction) from the Metanoia Institute, widely recognised as one of the leading training institutes in the UK, in partnership with Middlesex University. I also hold a Clinical Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy and a Diploma in Integrative Psychodynamic Counselling both from Metanoia.
I am accredited by the UKCP (the leading professional registration body for psychotherapists) and am a registered member (MBACP) of the BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists), the UK's largest professional body for counsellors and psychotherapists.
I believe a thorough, comprehensive training is vital to work effectively as a therapist. I have four years experience seeing clients in a clinical setting, have worked both in the NHS and private practice, and have various counselling certificates. I am the winner of a Mental Health Award (GHD Magazine, 2017).
The way I work is Integrative, which means that I tailor my approach, drawing on different backgrounds, to suit your unique needs depending on the issues that you bring.
Before switching directions, I have had a long and satisfying career working for national magazines and newspapers, as a journalist and magazine editor. I then spent a decade as a television producer and director. I believe this has given me a very real understanding of the pressures and stresses we can face in the modern world of work, and a passion to help people achieve balance in their lives and realise their full potential.
